Unfortunately we will have to reschedule again our hike due to bad weather forecast for Sunday October 17th morning…. Stay tuned for our new date!

We will meet at the car parking area of Bafi refuge https://goo.gl/maps/XN9NeUJ9SxdZK9ic8 on Mt. Parnitha at  10:15 on Sunday morning October 10th. At 10:30 firm, we will start walking and take the path that goes around the main peak of Mt. Parnitha and  leads back to Bafi refuge (approx. 3 hours walking). After the walk we can take our lunch and relax at Bafi refuge.

Suggested items for the walk: Hiking boots or good athletic shoes that are worn in. Light pants, synthetic (running) shirt, not cotton as it holds all the sweat.., Light fleece or blouse, Light rain jacket, Small backpack, Water bottle (at least 1 lt.), Hat, sun screen, light snack, charged mobile phone, walking sticks (optional but they help..).

Mt. Parnitha is a very popular mountain visited by many people. Nevertheless it is a natural mountain environment and people that wish to join this hike must do so at their own responsibility having the personal  knowledge that they have the proper fitness to follow along. Children are welcome as long as they are at least 10 years old, at their parents responsibility, who must have the knowledge beforehand if they are able to do the walk.

The hike will be confirmed three days before the event when we have a proper assessment of weather at the day of the event.

Even though most of us are fully vaccinated and we will be meeting outdoors, to further minimize the risk of covid transmission we kindly ask that you self-check through a rapid (or self) test the previous night or that same morning, and bring with you hand sanitizer and face mask.
